INTRODUCTION AND CV

Hello and thank you for viewing my portfolio

I'm Ashley Jordan Jones and I have worked as a makeup artist and hair stylist for 8 years

The main focus my work now sits within the commercial, beauty, and editorial sectors of the industry working with Various Talent including Beverley Knight and Soul II Soul whilst leading the makeup team for the MOBO Awards in 2024, the Lioness Georgia Stanway, various Liverpool players such as Darwin Nunez, Andy Robertson and Fabio Carvalho and Rupauls Drag Race Star Electra Fence.

Brands such as Adidas, Converse, Puma, Karrimore, Naked Wolfe, Drop Dead and Ed Hardy alongside creating editorials for magazine such as Bricks, Soccer Bible, Schon and OFF THE RAILS.

During my time working in the hair and makeup industry I have assisted makeup artist Emily-Jane Williams at Cosmopolitan Magazine and Michelle Strain and Coco Hirani at London Fashion Week and London Men's Fashion week and Kym Menzie Foster for a personal project.

In 2018 I completed a BA Honor's Degree in Media Makeup and Hair at the Northern School of Creative Industries. During my time at the Northern School of Creative industries I focused my studies and practical work towards the editorial, fashion and commercial sectors of the makeup and hair industry.  

Before studying for my BA Hons degree, I also gained a level 2 women's hairdressing and undertook a private barbering course to gain skills in these areas.

Whilst studying I gained experience in all areas of the hair and makeup industry such as fashion, film, theatre and teaching with transferable skills in special effects, wig styling, marketing, production management and creative direction
